Collage on board, 12x12

When you see your heroes in your work. Cecil Touchon has always been a major influence for me as I dipped my toes into collage. I made this as something of a grateful homage to him as typography has informed my work and his work gave me permission in so many ways to push that idea forward myself. (As someone who was classically trained in art school, moving into abstraction took a leap of faith…spoiler alert: I survived the plunge.)
