Commissions

Whether you’re an interior designer sourcing for a project, or a collector looking for the perfect statement piece, I’d love to work with you. A bespoke paper collage piece is not just artwork; it’s a distillation of a season, a place, or a chapter you want to remember.

how the process works

Inquiry: Every commission begins with a conversation. You don’t need to know exactly what you want, just the feeling you hope the piece will carry. We will have a conversation via FaceTime, or in person if you’re local. I’ll provide guidance on sizing, color, and placement to ensure the artwork complements your room and the idea you want to convey.

To get started, I’ll need your desired size, or the approximate wall dimensions if you’re unsure. A few images of work that has resonated with you - we will discuss how it fits into the way I work and what it is that you love about it - theme, color, etc. We’ll also talk about what colors you’d like incorporated and which ones you want to avoid. Optional but helpful are photos of your space, ephemera that you find meaningful, and anything you’d like to see included in your piece.

Concept & Mood: I create a simple direction for us to align on: tone, palette, emotional anchor points. Nothing fussy - just a shared sense of where we’re going.

Timeline: We agree on an end date. I will check in with you at several points along the way. Usually once the palette has been confirmed, the halfway point, and then right before I think I’m done to see if you want any alterations. You may request up to two rounds of color adjustments and/or adjusting the paper elements within the composition. Additional changes are $250 per round.

Approval & Delivery: You’ll receive photos of the finished piece before it ships. Each artwork arrives ready to frame or hang.

Pricing

Every commission is unique, and pricing varies based on size, materials, and complexity. I’ve created small intimate pieces and large-scale works for private homes, offices, and collectors. Once I understand the scope of your project, I’ll provide a detailed quote before we begin. Commissions begin at $1,600 for a 16x20 piece.

A 50% nonrefundable deposit secures your place in my commission queue. Projects are booked in the order that they are received. The remaining balance (plus shipment and any framing) is due before delivery. Once finalized, your piece is sealed and either shipped or hand-delivered if you’re in the Bay Area. For clients outside of the area, I use a private art transport service for safe delivery, which might require some scheduling flexibility.

Timeline

Most commissions take 6-8 weeks, depending on size and materials. If you have a specific deadline - a birthday, anniversary, or move-in date - I’ll do my best to accommodate. Large scale pieces will require sufficient lead time.
